Two studies provide insight into the genetics of the disorder and show again how complex it is.

Excerpt: “Even small new mutations were not randomly occurring, but were concentrated in a relatively small number of genes that are crucial to the way nerve cells communicate across synapses.”

My comment: Predictably, someone will soon link these non-randomly occurring new mutations to the nutrient-dependent pheromone-controlled sans the theory of mutation-driven evolution. For example, in the article Mosaic Copy Number Variation in Human Neurons, we read “One straightforward hypothesis is that neurons with different genomes will have distinct molecular phenotypes because of altered transcriptional or epigenetic landscapes.”
