This fact supports the concept of human pheromone-enhanced fragrances ( i.e., perfume-body odor interaction).
If, as is frequently stated, humans have a reduced sense of smell compared with other species, we should be unable to recognize and differentiate among olfactory/pheromonal stimuli from other humans.
Though they may indeed be a ‘receiver-side’ phenomenon, the age-related and sex-dependent differences allow non-human and human animals to distinguish male pheromones from female pheromones. Men and women respond accordingly.
